INFO

The Making of Passing Traces is a film documenting the process of creation of Passing Traces. It shows collecting all the ingredients for the halva (a sweet treat from the SWANA region), its time-consuming and labour-intensive preparation method, and the many intimate encounters with family, friends, and dear ones who helped produce the artwork. The film is about the conversations we have surrounding intergenerational grief and culturally specific ways of mourning, as well as traditions associated with the bereavement of loved ones.
